Rainy day, versus LA

I can’t believe that the 2012 season is coming to the wire and 9/8 was probably my final game. The LA Dodgers are a game back of the Cardinals for the second National League Wild Card. The Nats, on the other hand, have a 5.0 lead on the Braves in the East and need to win 11 games to clinch. But they only need two games to clinch a wild card. Aaron Harang is 9-9 and on the bump for the Dodgers. The 10-8 Jordan  Zimmermann  is looking for no. 11.

BALL GAME NEWS: 9/17

DAN UGGLA HIT A MONSTER TO LEFT AND KIMBREL SLAMMED THE DOOR AS THE BRAVES ROLLED PAST THE MARLINS, 7-5.

ALEX COBB PITCHED A NO-NO THROUGH 5 1/3, BUT JACOBY ELLSBURY HIT A TWO RUN HOMER TO HELP THE RED SOX WIN IT, 5-2.

CLIFF LEE STRUCK OUT TEN METS, AND THE PHILLIES WON 3-1.

A THREE- HOUR RAIN DELAY WAS FEATURED IN THIS GAME, BUT A LATE NIGHT FLIGHT BY THE PIRATES DIDN’T MAKE THEM LOSE. THEY WON 3-0. ANDREW McCUTCHEN WENT TO BED AT 6:00 CENTRAL, 7:00 EASTERN!
