There was high hopes for Gio Gonzalez on Sunday afternoon in DC. He was facing Mike Minor (who was 8-10 before the game, by the way). But the game was on ESPN, and the Nationals are 2-4 on national TV. If Gio can get a W, he will be the first to 20 wins. But if he loses, it doesn’t make that big of a difference. He’ll have 8 losses, which is my age. So he has 27 starts if he pitches. All I know that it was horrible for DC fans, as maybe some fans of the Braves held up brooms when they won ?
