The absolute worst call by an ump in the history of baseball.

The ST Louis Cardinals squared off against the Atlanta Braves in the National League Wild Card game. One of them will face the Nationals in the NLDS. One’s season will come to a close. But if  specific one does, it will end a hall-of-fame career. Chipper Jones may leave Turner Field tonight. So in the 8th inning, Andrelton Simmons popped a fly ball to left field. SS Pete Kozma called off Matt Holliday. There was a buzzing crowd, and I think he heard Holliday call him off. He didn’t, and the left field ump pulled up a fist, calling the infield fly rule. Fredi Gonzalez saw the blown call immediately, and started to argue. Then the Atlanta fans threw bottles and cans on the outfield, and it took the grounds crew 18 minutes to pick everything up, and the blown call was costly.
