BELL MADE THE ALL-STAR TEAM IN PHOENIX LAST YEAR, DOING A TODD COFFEY STYLE SPRINT OUT OF THE BULLPEN AND SLIDING INTO THE PITCHERS MOUND WHERE BRUCE BOCHY WAS WAITING. BELL SAID THIS IN HIS LAST SAN DIEGO TEAM DAY. “I DO NOT WANT TO BE ON THIS MIAMI TEAM.” ON A TEAM WHERE GOOD PLAYERS WORK TOGETHER TO TRY TO GENERATE WINS, LIKE MIAMI, THEY HAVE A BREAKOUT YEAR AND FALL AND GO INTO THE BASEMENT OF THE DIVISION. BUT BELL IS BACK IN HIS COMFORTABLE DIVISION, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.
