The Cincinnati Reds came close to beating the San Francisco Giants. So did the Saint Louis Cardinals. But San Fran beat both and came in to the biggest one, the World Series, and dominated. Matt Cain had a ridiculously shaky start, so in the tenth, Marco Scutaro hit a clutch single and scored Ryan Theriot ( Scutaro advanced to 2nd on the throw.) Sergio Romo caught Miguel Cabrera looking and the Giants won the WS.
