The Atlanta Braves rocked the 1990’s while the Montreal Expos stunk. In 2012, though, the Philadelphia Phillies entered with 5 straight years of postseason play.  You can’t say that anymore. THE PHILLIES STINK! But the Nationals have gone from worst to first, as “Ignite your Natitude” helps them win.  The Phillies have gone from first to worst this year.

It is a close race to the finish between the Nats and the second place Atlanta Braves. The folks in the capital city are talking about the Nats. And Chipper Jones is making his last career regular season game at Nationals Park.  Zimmermann last night, Stras tonight.  That’s a tough way for Chipper to go out.

In last night’s game, Chad Tracy hit a walk-off RBI single in the wild 13 inning game last night. I think Cristian Martinez gave it up. Ian Desmond launched a 2-run jack in to the deep part of the newly coated Sam Adams ad bullpen in the night sky. A 56 minute rain delay stopped the game to start at 8:01 PM.  I WAS THERE (but not til the very end).  And guess who’s going back tonight to watch BP from the field?
